- 6 Peppercorns
- 1/2 inch Cinnamon
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 Cloves
- 1 Onion sliced
- 1/2 tsp Ginger paste
- 1 cup Steamed Cauliflower, Carrot and French Beans
- 1/4 cup Frozen Peas
- 1/2 cup Boiled Rice
- as per taste Salt
- 1/2 Apple or Pineapple diced
- 1/2 Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Sugar
- As needed Fried Onion
Instructions to make to make Navratan Pulao
- In a pre-heated wok add clarified butter and let it heat.
- Fry all the dry fruits, potatoes and cottage cheese one by one and keep it aside.
- Fry the whole spices, onion and ginger paste. Cook it nicely.
- Add steamed vegetables, frozen peas and fry them.
- Add boiled rice, potatoes, cottage cheese and apple cubes. Mix it well.
- Add lemon juice, salt and sugar and mix them.
- Add fried onion, fried dry fruits and saffron water.
- Cover the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.
- Garnish with fried onion, cottage cheese and dry fruits.
